Manful.
- AUGUST 2020 -
Manful (adjective): brave and resolute, especially in a difficult situation. Synonyms: Courageous; noble; high-minded.
In today’s social climate this show was a vital and necessary platform for the young men of Hale School to shed truth to their ideas as they aspire to express their authentic selves.
Featuring an ensemble of Senior Redfoot members this was a courageous and noble exploration of the girls and boys ideas and thoughts on masculinity and divulging the 21st Century extreme opinions of what it is to be a man.
This show was devised by the actors and facilitated and directed by Helen McIntosh. Using her pastoral expertise, Helen worked together with the cast to support each other and encourage confidence and self-belief and to try, to fail and to try again.
Due to COVID-19 audience numbers were limited and were restricted to cast member family and friends.
